We live in a world full of uncertainty. But, while everything around us feels unstable, God wants us to have certainty about one thing: the truth of Jesus Christ and the gospel. In Luke 1:1-4, Luke tells us that he wrote his gospel account so that believers would be confident in what they have been taught. He gives us three reasons for that confidence: Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament, His life and resurrection were seen by many trustworthy eyewitnesses, and Luke carefully investigated every detail before writing. Our faith isn’t built on blind hope or vague spirituality—it’s anchored in real historical events, seen and recorded by real people. When the world feels shaky, Jesus remains the firm foundation we can build our lives upon.
