This sermon invites us to slow down at the end of the year and remember why God’s word needs to be at the center of our lives. We’re reminded that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Therefore, when we read it, God is speaking to us and shaping us over time. Scripture matures our faith, exposes sin we often overlook, and gives us everything we need to grow and follow Christ faithfully. Most importantly, the whole Bible points us to Jesus and the salvation He has accomplished for us. In response, we should choose a Bible reading plan, open our Bible regularly in the coming year, and trust God to use his word to change us.
