Psalm 51

A right view of God’s nature reveals his steadfast love, mercy, righteousness and holiness. A right view of man’s nature reveals our guilt and inability to save ourselves.

These two realities collide for King David leading him to confess and repent of his sins. 

  1. We must have a correct view of God’s character and nature.
  2. We must have a correct view of man’s nature.
  3. A correct view of God’s character and nature and man’s nature leads to confession and repentance.
  4. God is faithful to forgive our sins and restore us.
