Luke 8:1-15

In Luke 8:1-15, Jesus continues on his mission with the help of many, to bring the good news of the Kingdom of God through various cities and villages. The crowds are large and he speaks to an agrarian society in parables to reveal the mysteries of the kingdom of God to some and to conceal it to others. Jesus reveals four types of heart conditions and teaches that the way a person responds to the gospel is based on the condition of their heart. 

  1. A call to follow Jesus and his mission is a lifelong call to service (1-3)
  2. Jesus spoke in parables to reveal and conceal (5-10)
  3. The condition of your heart determines your response to the gospel (11-15)
