Luke 7:36-50

In Luke 7:36–50, two very different responses to Jesus reveal the condition of the human heart. A woman, known for her sin, approaches Jesus with humility and gratitude, while a Pharisee remains distant, confident in his own righteousness. Through a simple parable, Jesus shows that awareness of our spiritual debt increases our love for Him. The woman’s actions reflect a heart transformed by forgiveness, while the Pharisee’s posture exposes a lack of understanding about both his sin and Jesus’ mercy.
