In Luke 11:14–28, Jesus confronts those who refuse to acknowledge His divine power after He casts out a demon. He warns that making excuses to stay on the fence is foolish because there is no neutral middle ground; we are either fully with Him or against Him. Remaining indifferent to Christ leaves us in spiritual peril, as we need the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to stand against the evil one. Because Jesus has proven to be the "stronger man" who defeats Satan, we can confidently place our faith in Him by hearing and keeping the Word of God.
