Luke 10:1-16

In Luke 10:1–16, Jesus sends out the seventy-two and gives them principles for carrying out the mission of making disciples. We are called to pray for more laborers, partner together in the work of the gospel, and proclaim the good news of God’s kingdom. At the same time, we must recognize the peril facing those who reject Christ, remembering that our gospel witness carries eternal weight because we speak as Christ’s representatives. The harvest is plentiful, so we must faithfully pray, partner, proclaim, and feel the weight of the gospel message.
