This sermon from Philippians 2:5-11 encourages believers to begin the Christmas season by fixing their hearts on Christ and allowing the Incarnation to shape their lives. In this passage we see the unparalleled humility of Jesus, who existed in the fullness of divine glory yet chose to take on human flesh. Ultimately, Christ’s humility reached its deepest point at the cross, where He willingly laid down His life in obedience to the Father. Because of His perfect obedience, God has exalted Him above every name and one day every knee will bow before Him. Therefore, we’re challenged to follow Christ’s example by living with humility, serving others, and celebrating Christmas with hearts centered on His glory.
