Once you have completed Pre-Registration, you can sign in your children at one of our iPad check-in stations (located in the Worship Center lobby or CFL Kids area).
You will enter the phone number of the person who will drop off and pick up the child that day on the iPad. You can then select the names of children you are checking in. Their tags, along with your pick-up tag, will print.
Printing a sticker for the child’s diaper bag will also be an option for children 2 and under. You will find a pencil icon next to their name. Select that and check Diaper Bag label to print one of those as well.
Check out this brief video (2 minutes) to show you how it works!
Drop off begins at 10:15 am on Sundays. The doors will be locked once the service begins. If you arrive late, please see a Safety and Security team member to help you. Please pick up children promptly after service and continue to fellowship!
Our system will automatically check each child in to the age-appropriate class.
Our rooms are designated to serve the following age groups:
Nursery: 0-12 months/beginning to walk
Toddlers: 1-2 years
Pre-K: 3-4 years
Elementary A & B: 5-8 years
- This breakdown will allow children to learn about the gospel each week with similar aged peers. Lessons and activities designed for specific age groups will foster learning and socialization that is developmentally appropriate for each group.
Process
A Safety and Security team member will be assigned to CFL Kids each week. Before the volunteers and children arrive, the security person will check over the entire Chapel building and area. He will remain in the CFL Kids space through check-out each week.
When the service begins, the security team member will lock the building. Parents with children who arrive late can still check their children in by connecting with a security team member who will notify CFL Kids to allow them to enter.
All Safety and Security team members and Children’s Ministry volunteers have cleared background checks and been trained for our safety and emergency protocols.
Volunteer Requirements
All persons 13 years or older who desire to work with the children participating in our programs and activities will be screened. This screening includes the following:
- Covenant Member requirement – no person will be considered for any worker position involving contact with children unless he/she is a Covenant Member or in process of becoming a Covenant Member. Those who are not yet Covenant Members must have the approval of the elders and meet all other requirements, including a background check, before serving in a children’s ministry role.
- Criminal background checks – a national criminal background check is required for all workers as defined above. The background check authorization form and results will be maintained in confidence at CFL. Background checks will be completed at least every five (5) years for each individual.
- Personal interview – A face-to-face interview may be scheduled with the applicant to discuss his/her suitability for the position.
You will be notified through text message if your child needs you during service. The text will come from Christ Fellowship Leesville.
It is imperative that the phone number used at check-in is the same number to be contacted during service.

Cornerstone Kids on Sunday Evenings
Cornerstone Kids is a ministry specifically designed to provide children ages 2-11 with essential doctrine and biblical truth in a transformative way that is directly applicable to their salvation and sanctification. It will meet on the first and third Sunday evenings of the month (September-May) during the Cornerstone Class for adults. We will be using the Adventure Club curriculum. Nursery will also be provided for ages 0-2 as part of the ministry for parents attending Cornerstone Class and can be registered along with older children.

The program was created to teach kids biblical truth through Systematic Theology (doctrines, themes, and topics of the Bible) in ways that are meaningful for their ages, while maintaining the structure of AWANA. The children will rotate each evening through times of worship, lessons, small group/scripture memorization, and games.
We love that Adventure Club is a unified curriculum for the whole family. Children of all ages will be learning the same theological lessons each week at their age-appropriate level. This will allow families to discuss one topic together each week, reinforcing the lesson learned through Adventure Club.
