In Luke 1:39–56, we witness the meeting between Mary and Elizabeth, where the Holy Spirit reveals profound truths about the child in Mary’s womb. Through Elizabeth’s proclamation and Mary’s poetic response, we see that Jesus is already declared to be Lord, Savior, and full of mercy—even before His birth. We’re reminded that acknowledging Jesus as Lord means full submission to His authority rather than selective obedience, God’s mercy is extended to all who fear Him, and His promises are certain even when their fulfillment is not yet visible. Ultimately, the passage calls us to rejoice in Christ’s identity and trust His faithful, eternal reign.
