This sermon begins our three-week series on our discipleship pathway: Proclaiming, Cultivating, and Multiplying. In Romans 10:10–17, we see that the first step in making disciples is proclaiming the gospel. Paul lays out a clear progression: salvation comes by calling on Jesus, calling comes through faith, and faith comes through hearing the gospel. God has ordained one way people come to saving faith: through other believers sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. The gospel is not simply helpful information; it is the very power of God to save. As followers of Christ, we are called to proclaim the message boldly, without discrimination, and with confidence that God uses gospel proclamation to bring the lost from death to life.
