Passage: 1 Corinthians 6:1-11

Join us as our pastor, Jonathan Brooks, teaches on 1 Corinthians 6:1-11.

In 1 Corinthians 6:1-11, Paul shows us that how we handle disputes and grievances between members of a local church says a lot about what we believe about the church and what we believe about the gospel. Or, to put it in even more challenging language, how we handle disputes says a lot about what we think of the Bride of Christ and the Work of Christ. Paul’s desire is to bring an end to the public litigation among the church of Corinth by helping them see that lawsuits between members of a local church bring disgrace to the church and they bring disgrace to the gospel.
  1. Lawsuits disgrace the church. (1-6)
  2. Lawsuits disgrace the gospel. (7-11)
