The message of 2 Timothy 3:16-17 could not be more clear. Even as the culture shifts and changes and things get more difficult – our task remains the same: Remain committed to the truth of God’s Word. We must study it, understand it, teach it, guard it, trust it, and learn from it. Why did the Word of God play such a central role in Paul’s final instructions to Timothy? Well, 2 Tim. 3:16-17 answers that question for us and tells us why we also must remain committed to the ministry of the Word and the personal discipline of Bible intake in the coming year.
