Passage: 1 Samuel 11
Join us as our lead pastor, Jonathan Brooks, teaches on 1 Samuel 11. In this passage, we see that God provides salvation to undeserving people.
The root word for salvation appears three times in 1 Samuel 11 (verses 3,9, and 13), which will help us see the shape of this passage. That shape is the theme of the Scriptures: Is there anyone to save? God promises to bring a Savior, and then, the Lord works salvation. Seeing how God provides salvation to undeserving people is really important for us because we so often fail to remember that the OT most often shows God as a patient, long-suffering God. He puts up with a lot from his people and still pours out grace and mercy on them. So, once again we are reminded of the grace and mercy of the God who provides salvation to an undeserving people.
